This collection of biographies of Great Muslims has been divided into twelve biographical categories: Great Leaders; Great Women; Religious Teachers; Sufis and Saints; Thinkers and Scientists; Poets and Writers; Artists and Musicians; Reformers, Revolutionaries and Patriots; Rulers, Statesmen and Administrators; Soldiers, Generals and Conquerors; and Historians, Geographers and Explorers. Efforts have been made by the author to provide documentary evidence for the achievements of the persons included from both eastern and western sources giving a wide range of the genius of the people included. History can show many examples of warriors who have also been distinguished men of letters, of statesmen who have been excellent poets, and of scholars who have risen to the positions of great power and responsibility.
